Tips For A Good Evaluation OR How To Get The Coaches Fighting Over Your Kid Johnnysdad writes "With evaluations right around the corner I thought it would be helpful to let you have an inside look into what those coaches sitting in the outfield are looking at while your child has his/her evaluation.

2009 8u Cougars take 2nd at Dizzy Dean World Series! Johnnysdad writes "Sixty-three 8U all-star teams descended on Southaven, MS last week to compete in the 2009 Dizzy Dean World Series. When the dust settled the Sandy Plains 8U Cougars Red all-star team had fought their way into 2nd place and had earned the respect of all the teams they faced.
The week started in pool play with the Cougars matched up with Adamsville, AL, LFO and Marshall County. Adamsville was up first and after scoring 2 in the bottom of the first the Cougar brick wall sat them down 1-2-3 in the next 3 innings while scoring 7-4-7 to run rule them 18-2.

2009 9U Cougars finish the Summer Season with a record of 23-7 And abruptly the summer baseball season came to an end in Southaven, MS for the 9YO Sandy Plains Cougars.
The Cougars displayed strong defense and pitching, which has been staples for the team all summer long. However, the Cougars lost 2 tough games to complete their stay in MS - due primarily to some very timely hitting by the Oregon Park Sharks (GA) and the Northport Nationals (AL). As such, the Dizzy Dean World Series ends an extremely successful and amazing summer of baseball for which all 12 boys can be very proud of. They finished with a record of 23–7 --- won the 9YO Dizzy Dean GA State Championship --- plus, they took two (2) other tournament championships (Shaw Park and Hobgood).
