Director Nominations and Elections
The Annual Meeting of the General Membership (meeting) for the Sandy Plains Baseball Association (SPBA) will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 7:00PM virtually as required in our SPBA By-Laws & Operating Rules Article V, Section II. The meeting is open to all members of the SPBA which includes all parents and legal guardians of children participating in SPBA Baseball. Adults without children in
the baseball program who participate with SPBA as volunteers or serve on the SPBA Board of Directors are also included as members of the SPBA.

During the meeting, as stated in the SPBA By-Laws & Operating Rules Article IV, Section I, we shall present to the General Membership a list of all amendments to the By-Laws approved by the Board of Directors during the preceding twelve (12) months. The proposed amendments (either collectively or individually) shall be either ratified or repealed by majority vote of the General Membership then in attendance. If there were no amendments made then none will require ratification.
The annual meeting is also the time to nominate candidates for the SPBA Board of Directors (Board) for the upcoming 2024 – 2025 season. As provided in the SPBA By-Laws & Operating Rules: Nominations and Elections section any member in good standing may run for a Board position. A member may nominate another member and may also nominate him/herself for a Board position.
All nominations must be seconded. All nominees must confirm their willingness to accept the position for which they have been nominated and can do so either in person at the time of nomination during the meeting or provide written notification presented at the time of nomination or through an email to Adam Feder (secretary@sandyplainsbaseball.com) and Amy Yarber

A list of all nominees will be posted on our website. Elections for the Board will only take place should there be more than one member nominated for any Board position. In that case the voting shall take place on the Saturday and Sunday on the second weekend following the General Membership meeting at both Harrison Park and Sweat Mountain Park.
